Moonlight Trust has raised nearly £20k for the Pakistan Flood Relief and Crisis Response. However, given the scale of the disaster this is nowhere near enough to what is needed. Moonlight Trust as always will not be taking any costs towards salaries, admin or marketing.
We are now appealing for further donations, and have introduced an additional teams fundraising challenge where you can all contribute. This is a special appeal to provide essential supplies including, food, blankets and shelter support for the destitute and displaced families who have been impacted the most by the devastating impact of the floods in Pakistan. As the situation on the ground is rapidly evolving and volatile, your funds will be utlised as a direct response to the field assessments and needs identified by our local and regional partners in order to provide emergency and sustainable support. Therefore, the support may vary from family to family depending on their specific needs.
One third of Pakistan is under water, nearly 1400 are dead and thousands displaced. It is time to unite and support them. This could happen to any one of us as more and more natural disasters occur as a direct result of global warming and we need to support one another no matter where in the world it may be. Over 30 million people have been affected and the aftermath is prving to be even more difficult as clean water is hard to come by resulting in water diseases.
